Hispanic Youth Group

El grupo de adolescents tiene 4 objectivos:

• Aprender de nuestra fe

• Servicio a la parroquia y a la comunidad

• Apoyar y ayudar en estudios post-secundarios

• Ofrecer actividades sociales

Actividades que hemos realizado incluyen:

• La liturgía para niños durante Cuaresma

• Preparar la comida sencilla durante Cuaresma

• Participar en la Festival de San Carlos Borromeo

• Visitar universidades

• Hacer viajes a Carowinds, Washington D.C. & Charleston

• Construir el señal de San Carlos Borromeo al frente de la iglesia

• Organizar la parroquia para comprar llápidas permanents para el cementerio

El grupo está abierto a estudiantes en los grados de 9-12 de high school.  Estudiantes de WPCC y las universidades también pueden participar; muchos de ellos participan con nosotros cuando pueden.  Nos reunimos los viernes desde las 6:00 pm.

The Hispanic Youth Group has a 4-fold purpose:

  2. Aid and support for higher education

  3. Offer social activities

Past activities include:

• Leading a children’s liturgy during Lent

  1. Preparing simple meals during Lent

  2. Participating in the St. Charles Borromeo Festival

  3. Attending university open houses

  4. Trips to Carowinds, Washington D.C. & Charleston

  5. Building the St. Charles Borromeo sign in front of the church

  6. Organizing the parish to buy permanent markers for our cemetery

The group is open to students from 9-12 grades.  College students are welcome to participate; those who are away at college often participate when they are home on break and during the summer.   We meet on Fridays at 6:00 pm.
