Adult Education

Adult Faith Formation – Educational series open to all adults that meets every Sunday from 10:30 to 11:30 AM (September to May) in the Walton Road house. Contact Deacon John Martino for information.

CandlesAdult Study – Discussions led by Fr. Ken on selected topics including church history, theology and the Bible. Meets every Wednesday at 7 PM.

Cursillo – The purpose of the Cursillo movement is to create small friendship groups of Christians that will evangelize their environments with the Gospel spirit.  The purpose of the Cursillo method is to help persons to live what is fundamental for being a Christian by committing themselves to the spiritual aids the Church offers in order to grow in Piety, Study and Action.  Several prayer groups for men or women are established in the parish. Ultreya meetings are held on the 2nd Tuesday of each month at 7 PM in the library. Contact: Ron Schwing 828-437-8501 for more information.

Ladies Bible Study – Meets every Tuesday morning at 10 AM. Contact Donna Davis for more information.

Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults (RCIA) –  is the process through which interested adults and older children are educated about the Catholic faith and take the necessary steps to become full members of the Catholic church. Potential catechumens (persons never baptized) and candidates (persons previously baptized) should see Fr. Ken about joining the RCIA process.  Meetings are held each Monday at 6 PM.  Contact: Fr.
